Penryn in 1816 from the southPenryn in 1840's from the northOn October 31, 1898, a Great Western Rail mail train with passenger carriages
was approaching Penryn when it left the track and fell down a steep embankment.
The driver died from shock, while most of the thirty-three passengers were not
